It is the end of December and I usually reflect on what has happened in the last gardening year.
Today is the first day of winter.
There are plants that are associated with the holiday season.
We have had our first accumulating snow.
I guess you could say that we have been lucky in not having any snow so far this month.
Being outside for any length of time on Monday was a shock to the system.
If you remember back to the early spring, there was a little green caterpillar that was eating the leaves of many trees and shrubs.
The leaves have really started to fall off the maple trees.
When I got up on Tuesday morning, it was 27 degrees outside at the house.
The leaves have begun to fall! I guess that means that we will be hearing the sound of leaf blowers for the next month.
